- Freud believed we used many defense mechanism to protect ones ego. sublimation where one transfers unacceptable impulses to more socially valued motives, after breaking up with my ex I started to go to the gym as a way to release all my unhealthy emotions.

- Horney believed in when one has anxiety in their childhood, the child looks for love ans security from a loved one. when I was little I had terrible separation anxiety from my mother and I would latch on to her when it was time for me to go to school, my teacher would have to pry me off of her.

- Rodgers believed that people are basically good, unless impacted by the environment inhibiting growth. he had a person-centered perspective one being, empathy being able to to share ones feelings and reflect that meaning. I often to this with my close friends if they get hurt so do I.
- Costa and McCrae believed in the big 5 (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neutralism) and the overall concept of not being consistent with who you are as a person and your personality when you were little and how you are in 20 years. when I was little I would be really loud in any social situation now a days I am a more composed person.
- Bandura believed that our behavior depended on our environment and personal factors if one was bad then the rest of them were bad causing everything around ones' self to be bad. last week I had a really good day because of the people I was hanging out with and because my environment was good so were my personal factors and behavior.
