- Hi. I am Osman. I ruled the Ottoman Empire. An Empire is where there is a supreme ruler who rules a lot of states or countries. I am Muslim. My religion is monotheistic. Monotheistic means that we believe in one G-d. We call our G-d Allah.

- The Ottoman Empire was a successful empire. It was very powerful. Did you know that the Ottoman Empire was one of the most powerful empires to rule near the Mediterranean sea. The Ottoman Empire was one of the longest lasting empires. Their culture was Arabic. The Ottoman Empire had a lot of oil. In fact when the Ottoman Empire was partitioned, Great Britain and France placed national boundaries solely for their interest of oil.

- The Ottoman Empire ended because they were on the losing side of World War one and their punishment was to be partitioned.
- The Ottoman Empire's importance to the history of Southwest Asia was that it set up Southwest Asia for failure. Sunni and Shia Muslims were merged in to one country which started conflict.
