Feo convinces the soldier, whose name is Ilya, to drop his gun
What's happened?

Tenderfoot begins to give birth
Feo and Ilya reach some sort of peace agreement, Feo lets Ilya watch but puts a mark in the snow that he has to stand behind
Tenderfoot gives birth but the pup is dead
