- The place was in semi-darkness; light barely came through the dirty window. A swinging half-door divided the 20-by-9-ft. stall into two rooms. Huge nails and spikes stuck out all over the walls. A two-inch layer of dust covered the floor. Mine sketched her daily life in the camp.
- In the camp taught an art class to the kids at the camp.
- Come to New York and illustrate for my magazine
- Mine illustrated for a internee newspaper called Trek
- Mine entered the Berkeley art competion and won.
