How much did you know about water before you took the class?
Honestly, not much at all. Before I took that class I only thought of water as a basic and straightforward resource needed for daily tasks like drinking.

Wow, I'm surprised!
Yes, I was. In fact, I decided to step it up a notch. Along with my five-minute shower limit, decided to only eat chicken 3 times per week, and wash my clothes once every 3 weeks instead of every 2 weeks.
Direct water footprint- The amount of freshwater used directly by an individual or organization, such as for drinking, and cooking.Indirect water footprint- The amount of freshwater used to produce goods and services consumed by an individual or organization, including water used in food production.
I bet I could take shorter showers and eat less chicken to decrease my indirect and direct water footprints.
I have kept doing more and more to decrease my water footprint to this day.

So, would you say that your perspective on water shifted from a resource that fulfills basic needs to a resource that is scarce, valuable, plays an important environmental role, and is greatly impacted by humans?
