- And we start with the first news that deals with:
- I’m Caterin Martinez and tonight we have a special report about the most important event of national attention during and after the civil war.

- Emmett Till a fourteen-years-old boy, was accused of flirting with a white woman (known by Carolyn Brayant).

- Two white men, abducted Emmett from his uncle's house and forced him into a car. Then they lead Emmet to a shack and beat him repeatedly, bashing his skill in. There, at the bridge, the two men threw the lifeless body of Emmett.
- By the way, the 2 men weren't arrested or even punished for their crime.
- Another event that happened was the Black Panther Party created in 1966 in West Oakland, California. In which it's purpose was to patrol and protect black neighborhoods from police brutality.
- That was in the wake of the murder of black nationalism Malcolm X and after in San Francisco police shot and killed an unarmed black teenager named Matthew Johnson and it's influence continues to be felt in movements such as Black lives Matter.
