- Percy Jackson is a boy that tends to get himself in trouble a lot, and sooner finds out that his father is a Greek god, and that he is a demi god. He ends up in Camp Half-Blood for more answers about it.
- Climax
- He has spent a few days at the camp. He's been training and practicing many things, then he finds out that Zeus's lightning bolt has been stolen, and he's been accused of it, as he is the son of Poseidon.
- Falling Action

- Percy has to begin a quest with Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and his satyr friend Grover, to find the missing lightning bolt. He doesn't have much time left for training, but he has no choice but to save everyone.
- Resolution
- All four are on the quest, with nothing found yet. But as they arrive near mountains, they notice something unusual about it.
- They all discover some sort of creature that has been guarding the lightning bolt in a sketchy cave. Annabeth and Grover find a way to distract it while Percy gets hold of the lightning bolt.
- In the end, Zeus and Poseidon got along again. Everyone was happy, and Percy got to meet his father. His mom came back as well, and they all had a happy ending.
