- Hello! Today I will be teaching you on... HOW TO CHANGE A BABY DIAPER!

- Here we have little baby Gerald! He has had an accident in his diaper and needs to be changed! Maddie is on her way to help Gerald get all clean!

- Reminder to stay CALM! Don't look disgusted or start crying... haha! Now always start by getting your materials prepared! Get wipes, a clean diaper, a trash can for the dirty diaper, gloves, and a toy for the child. Ask the parent if the child needs any cream or powder during the interview. When you notice the child needing a new diaper, make sure the changing table is clean and then place the baby gently on its back. They might be upset or squirmy so make sure to give them a toy to calm them down!
- Now, Wash your hands and put on gloves. Check to make sure the wipes are for babies and not for cleaning surfaces. Now for changing the baby...
- Okay. Unstrap the diaper and pull it out from under the baby. Put it somewhere out of reach. Get a wipe and wipe front to back... NEVER back to front!!! Use one baby wipe for each wipe- Don't re-use the wipes or diapers.

- Now grab the clean diaper and slide it under the child's bottom...make sure it is high enough and not too low on the child's back. You can tell which side is front and back due to the pattern that is usually on the front is the diaper. Place the front of the diaper around the child's belly and fasten the straps.

- Take off and throw away the gloves and dirty diapers...then wash your hands. Also, wash the baby's hands to clean them. Lift the child up and make sure the diaper is on correctly and make sure the baby is clean. Make sure the changing table is clean as well. And you're done!
