- Dahl and his friends find a dead mouse under their loose floor board.They are thinking what they should do with the mouse. Until dahl
- Mrs.Pratchett's revenge
- While Thwaites Distracted Mrs.Pratchette by ordering a licorice bootlace Dahl puts the dead rat in one of Mrs. Pratchette's gobstoppers jar
- First Day
- Dahl was in a relief when he saw that Mrs. Pratchette was not dead but instead Mrs. Pratchette was angry and she was angry at the boys Mr.Coombes made everyone line up by the wall and let Mrs. Pratchette see who did the prank.
- The Matron
- Hearing the scream and cries the boys make Dahl realized what a horrible prank he did was once the last boy came out it was Dahl's turn he screamed in pain when the cane hit him.
- The first day when Dahl got his tuck-box was really exciting but then later on everyone got their tuck-box taken away because someone did a prank on the Matron and no one took the blame so they got a punishment.
- The Matron is a cruel old lady who doesn't care about anyone but herself. One night she heard someone snoring so she took a bar of soap and shaved it into little pieces and she put it into the little boys mouth .
