- The beginning, the backstory of the cats and how Bella lives her life. The setting is the place under the abandoned building. later on, a group of stray animal rescuers come to rescue the cats. A person there, Lucas, falls in love with Bella.
- Lucas decides to take Bella home, despite his unfit living conditions for a dog. They begin to bond later on.
- Lucas finds out that he cannot keep Bella, because of a pit bull ban in their city, Denver. Lucas also gets evicted from his home, because his apartment doesn't allow dogs.
- Lucas is forced to send Bella away to a temporary home while Lucas searches for a new house fitting for him and his dog.
- Bella, who is tired of waiting for Lucas, escapes from her temporary home.
- After Bella escapes, her long journey home begins.
