Hi everyone! My name is Ana. Prior to our lesson, I had little to no knowledge of what Anthropology was. The only time I had ever heard of this field of study was on the show Bones where the main character was a Forensic Anthropologist. Even then I didn't have a real good understanding of what Anthropology was.

From this lesson, I learned how broad this field is. I learned about the 4 major fields which include biological, cultural, linguistic, and archeology. Each of these fields has their own subfields. I learned that this study is about taking things from our past and present to explain the inner workings of our current world and culture today, as well as how they may change in the future.

My perception of Anthropology changed in a positive way. I understand that this is a study of humans and people, by people trying to understand the world and other humans around them. In order to be able to work together as a society, we must understand how to approach and interact with one another, to find a solution to our everyday problems.
