Hello people. I am Mr Fell (Aka) The goat. Today i am going to teach you about the ear and sally the soundwave
Does anybody know where the ears are?
Now lets move onto the structure.
Well done lad!
Sir we cant see sally the sound wave because sound waves are invisible. We can only hear them.
Ear helps us to hear sounds around us and it is located on either side of our heads.
The Pinna a flap of skin collects sound waves and funnels them into the ear canal
Structure of human ear
The Auditory ossicles are small bones that carry the vibrations from the eardrum to the cochlea. They amplify the vibrations . These bones are called the hammer, the anvil , and the stirrup .
The ear canal is the tube that connects the pinna to the Ear drum
Sound waves that travel through the ear canal makes the ear drum to vibrate
The ear drum is the soft membrane that seperates the inner ear and outer ear
The cochlea is a spiral shaped chamber that is filled with liquid and lined with miniscule hairs . it converts the vibrations into electrical signals .
The Auditory nerve connects the cochlea to the brain . it caries the electric signals to the brain
Sir, our ears plays a vital role.... But what if someone loses there hearing ability?
A Hearing aid is a device used to help people whose hearing power is lost. Hearing aids can fit on or in the ear so that it will amplify the sound using electronics
For this we have hearing aids..
