The RMS Lusitania was a British ocean ship. It was dedicated to trade and passenger transport on the Atlantic route.
On May 7, 1915, in the middle of the maritime war between the German Empire and the British, the Lusitania was identified and torpedoed by the German U-Boot.

After only 18 minutes, the Lusitania sank, approximately 18 km from the coast of Ireland
The ship wreck caused the death of more than 1,198 passengers including 100 children, only 761 people survived.
The Lusitania was carrying a large quantity of ammunition and military equipment, in addition to civilian passengers, and it was one of the reasons why the United States entered the First World War.
