- Macbeth shall never vanquish'd be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him.
- The power of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth.
- Beware Macduff, beware the Thane of Fife.
- Macbeth enters the cavern, wanting the witches to reveal the truth of their prophecies. In response, the witches summon apparitions to offer predictions to combat Macbeth's fears. The 1st tells him to beware of Macduff. The 2nd tells him that no man born by woman shall harm him. The last tells him until Birnam Wood to Durnsinane Hill come against him, he'll be safe.

- Out, damned spot! Out, I say! One- Two- why then 'tis time to do't. Hell is murky. Fie, my lord, fie! A solider, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account? Yet who have thought the old man to have so much blood in him?
- The Thane of Fife had a wife; where is she now? What, will these hands neer be clean? No more o' that, my lord, no more o' that.
- At night in Dunsinane, a doctor and gentlewoman are discussing Lady Macbeth's strange sleepwalking habits, when she enters the room in a trance. With a candle in her hand, she recalls the murders of Lady Macduff and Banquo. While attempting to wipe the imaginary blood off her hands, she claims that nothing will ever wash it off.

- Despair thy charm, and let the angel whom thou still hast served tell thee, Macduff was from his mother's womb untimely ripp'd.
- Let fall thy blade on vulnerable crests; I bear a charmed life, which must not yield to one of woman born
- I will not yield, to kiss the ground before young Malcolm's feet, and to be baited with the rabble's curse.
- On the battlefield, Macbeth encounters Macduff. While they fight, Macbeth reveals to Macduff that he's invincible due to the witches prophecy. However, Macduff tells Macbeth that he himself was not woman born, making Macbeth suddenly fear for his life, though still he refuses to surrender. Macduff cuts of his head.
