Juan Pujol García was born in Barcelona in 1912.
He learned to hate dictators and totalitarianism during the rule of Francisco Franco.
García offered to be a spy for the British against the Nazis three times. All of those times were unsuccessful.
García claimed to be a Spanish government official and was planning on traveling to London.
Although, he went to the Nazis and offered to be a spy against the British.
The reports were so believable that even the British thought there was a spy in their country.
But García did not move to London. He moved back to Lisbon.
He got his "info" from a copy of the Blue Guide to England, reference books, and magazines.

García fabricated reports about British troop movements.

García revealed himself to MI6 and was assigned Tómas Harris to his case.
Between the two, they created 27 fake soldiers complete with their own backstories
They also created the fake organization, Brothers of the Aryan World Order.
García was able to convince the Nazis to move their troops from Normandy to Pas-de-Calais.
Even after the success of the Allies, the Nazis still presented him with the Iron Cross, from Hitler himself.
García turned it down with a "humble thanks" and said that he was "unworthy."
This led to D-Day being successful and the Allies taking back occupied France.
Juan Pujol García faked his death and moved to Venezuela.
He revealed himself after published his autobiography in 1985. He died in 1988.
