Unknown Story

They arrive to the Cyclops cave, Polyphemus and enter it. While they wait for him they light a fire and take some cheese to eat and just sit there and wait until he arrives.
Polyphemus arrives to his cave. He does his chores which are milking his sheep and other things. As he gets done, he sees Odysseus and his men. He asks why they are here. Odysseus tells him how they ended up here and why they are here.
As Odysseus is telling Polyphemus why they are there, Odysseus tells Polyphemus to give them Xenia but he refuses since he doesn't care about anyone. And as he is refusing Odysseus' request, he grabs two men of Odysseus and eats them.
Odysseus makes up a plan to escape. His plan is to get Polyphemus drunk with wine. And while he is unconscious to stab him in the eye. Also to tell Cyclops that his name is Nobody, so when he ask for help he can't get any. So when Cyclops is unconscious, his crew and him stab him in the eye.
This is when Odysseus and his men escape since Polyphemus can't see. And this is when Polyphemus lets his sheep out so Odysseus and his men take this chance to escape by hanging underneath the sheep to get past Polyphemus.
Thematic Statement: Courage allows people to complete difficult tasks even when they put their life in danger.
Right after escaping and taking Polyphemus' sheep, Odysseus shouts to Cyclops and baits him again. When he does this, Cyclops throws rocks at them causing the boat to rock more.
