There is no gold, sliver, or a waterway here in America!!
White, elite, landowning, educated men, moved away from England to work in America. They came to America in the hopes of finding gold, sliver, and a waterway. However, they did not find what they were looking for and suffered the whole time while there.
Ugh! I'm starving here.
While the colonist were getting seasick sailing to America. The king could do whatever he wanted, he had absolute power. However, by the 1600s, the Parliament took over and made laws and stood up for people's right.
MY ABSOLUTE POWER! NOO!!
We will stand up for peoples' right now.

In Plymouth, the colonists signed a compact agreeing to form a majority-rule government where all the men would vote on whatever issues came up. Women did not have a say in any of this. However, the king still controlled the colonists, and the colonists had to follow England's law even though they were on the other side of the ocean.
Make sure the colonists are following the England's law!!
