Henry First see's Mr. Lavine and the giant guarding the door.
Henry finally follows the man into the shop and the giant introduces Henry to Mr Lavine.

Henry Gets into a fight with a boy who lives next to him because he made rude comments about his dad

Henry partially destroys Mr. Lavines village

"He put Eddies old bat into the soft earth of the grave. He put the scarred and lopsides baseball at the base of the bat," (Cormier 100)
