- The rocket speeds off with no intent on stopping. The magnetic levitation allows it to completely ignore sliding friction and glide through the air, posing yet a second challenge, fluid friction which the rocket slips through with its aerodynamic design.

That's how the moon stays in orbit with the Earth. When rockets are launched, they have to push against gravity to get out of the atmosphere and into orbit. But eventually, the gravity might pull them back into the atmosphere.
