  • Hi teacher! I am eating burger and it's so yummyyyyyy teacher. Do you want some? hehehe
  • Yes teacher hihi. I am so so excited for today hihihi.
  • Woah, interesting. I'd like to know how my favorite burger is connected our discussion teacher hehehe
  • Me too. I am very excited to share to all of you my lesson. Well then, let's go?
  • Thank you for your generosity lily! Well, the burger you're eating has something to do with our topic for today.
  • DIGESTION SYSTEM OF BURGER
  • Food is ingested through the mouth. It is the stage of digestion where chewing and mixing food with saliva begins, which not only softens and moistens the meal but also contains an enzyme called salivary amylase, which breaks down starch.
  • The food then passes through the esophagus (white). When the procedure becomes automatic, peristalsis begins. Peristalsis occurs when smooth muscles in the esophagus rhythmically force food down.
  • Food is transported to the stomach (blue) after passing through the throat. Extra digesting juices secreted by the gastric glands in the stomach wall are absorbed by the muscular wall of the stomach. Two of these juices are pepsin and hydrochloric acid. Pancreatic and intestinal juices contain enzymes likes: Trypsin Lipase, Pancreatic amylase, Peptidases, and Nuclease
  • After leaving the stomach, the food travels to the small intestine (light red), where the liver and pancreas secretions digest carbs, protein, and fats. Bile is secreted by the liver, which breaks down lipids into tiny droplets, allowing the enzyme to work faster.
  • After passing through the small intestine, unabsorbed food is transmitted to the large intestine (red), where more villi absorb water from the undigested material, and the remainder is ejected through the anus. The anal sphincters control the discharge of waste materials from the anus.
