Eddie, this is the first of many lessons you have to learn in heaven.
Oh! I remember you, you were the car I ran in front of as a child.
Now lets talk about some of our past traumas to help us forget, learn, and move forward.
My dad and I have never gotten along and I feel like I was never good enough for him when compared to Joe.
Everything happens for a reason and anyone can effect anything...
so the smallest thing someone does can effect someone you dont even know?
How can everyone and everything be connected?
When Eddie first meets the blue man in heaven he feels like a child and starts to remember where he knows the Blue Man from. Eddie starts to recall the day that the Blue Man died. The Blue Man tells Eddie that this is going to be his first of many lessons he learns.
The main issue when they first meet is that Eddie does not like his heaven, but he later discovers that it is the Blue Mans heaven, not his. Eddie and the Blue Man both had bad relationships with their fathers and that is the main problem right now. They both have to confront their damaged emotions head on.
The Blue Man then starts to teach Eddie his first lesson. His first lesson is "There are no random acts... we are all connected." The Blue Man also says that "Strangers are just family that you need to get to know". Eddie and the Blue Man hug, and when they hug Eddie feels more like a child again, it is a warm sensation that he gets.
