After this great destruction, the world will be set ablaze with an eternal fire. It will burn every moral and God that once lived among Yggdrasil. Every human will fall into Hel.
This is the way that it all ends, and the world is once again to be rebuild into the way that it is seen now.
Though a seemingly happy end with the rebirth and recreation of the entire Earth, it is more important to emphasize the death and destruction that are prevalent in this myth. This may stem from the fact the Norse culture was heavily ruled by fighting over land and amongst tribes, leading to an aggressive, unforgiving culture,

In addition, there now resides a place called Asgard that is Odin's domain. A beautiful hall covered in gold and luxuries, called Valhalla, calls dead warriors that are to fight alongside the gods when Ragnarok arrives. Each day these warriors eat and drink without end and battle to pass the time.
