  • Welcome to the Sahara desert, the driest place on Earth. Not many people live here because of how harsh it is here. It is covered in dunes and sand. The Sahara is covered in ancient trade routes that people still use. To transport goods to trade, people use camels because camels can live off of very little water and they don't need a lot of food. Because there is so little food, most people are nomadic which means they move from one place to another.

  • We are in the savanna, the biggest biome in Africa. It covers 65% of Africa. This is where elephants, rhinos, zebras, and more live. It has a humid climate and receives around 30-50 inches of rain a year. It is covered in small shrubs and trees. Few people live here and the houses are usually made of mud and sticks. However, some of Africa's biggest cities are located here. The trade here is getting better so more and more people are moving here.

  • Where are we now?
  • We are in the tropical rainforest the wettest place in Africa. It is also one of the smallest biomes in Africa and is located on the equator. It gets smaller and smaller everyday because of the main trade here which is wood and agriculture. After people clear away the trees and sell them, they turn the ground into a farming area. Not many people live here because of how thick and dangerous it is in the rainforest.
