There once was a man named Chasetopher Columbus. He was a Italian man who believed that someone could adventure towards the center of the Earth. Since everyone at his time believed that the Earth was flat they were scared that they would fall into space if they went to the center of the Earth. Even though all of his peers believed what he was doing something that would guaranteed death, he pushed on.
Chasetopher Columbus started a team of loyal companions who would adventure with him towards the center of the earth. Chasetopher and his friends built three submarines which they would ride towards the center of the earth: The Nina, The Pinta, and the Santa Maria. They knew that there were tree different layers in the Earth: the crust, mantle, and the core. Once they had traveled through all three they would reach the mysteries that live in the center of the Earth.
Chasetopher and his friends started their descent towards the Crust of the Earth. They had an argument if they should enter through the Oceanic crust and the continental crust. Some of his friends said that the oceanic crust would be better because the oceanic crust would be better because it is only 4 miles thick while the continental crust is 6-47 miles thick. Others said that the continental crust would be better because the rocks it's composed of is less dense then the ones at the oceanic crust. They came to a conclusion that the oceanic crust would be better because it is thinner. While they traveled through the oceanic crust they were shocked to find that it was actually an ocean! There were dolphins, seahorses and jellyfish to be found. They were in shock but eventually continued on their journey.
After exiting the crust Chastopher and his crew made it to the mantle! They took some time to observe their enviorment and realized that the mantle was made out of hot, flowing rock. They´d never seen anything like this in their lives. Even though the mantle looked beautiful they knew that sloths could be seen in the mantle! They also know that the mantle is around 1,800 miles in thickness! Travelling though the mantle would take a long time so they took no time to stop and observe the sloths.
Chasetopher and his crew had finally made it to the core of the Earth! They would only have to make it through one more layer until they could return to the surface and tell all of their fiends about the majesty the saw! Of course they did some research about the core before entering and knew that it was mostly made up of iron and nickel. They also knew that the average tempature was around 7200-9000 degrees but, that wasn´t even the scariest part. There was a dragon who guarded the entrance to the center of the Earth. Even though the odds weren´t in their favor the went up to the dragon and started to fight.
There they were, Chasetopher and his crew looking at the one thing standing in their way fro finding out the truth. Who would know what was hidden behind that dragon, the meaning of life, or maybe they were the gates to heaven. Chasetopher and his crew picked up one of the spears they had packed and threw it into the dragons eye. The dragon stumbled for a bit until falling. They had finally done it. They were so close to the truth but, Chasetopher started thinking, ¨what if what was in there was better not to be seen?¨ He just couldn´t shake the feeling of of him that what he was doing was wrong so, he called off the expidition and headed back to the surface, empty handed.
