Clay is one of the five Dragnets of the prophecy.He has been living in a cave under the mountains with his other dragnets Tsunami,Starlight,Glory, and Sunny.They are being token care of by Kesseral,Dune and Webs.
Climax
Clay and the other 4 dragnets heard a loud bang from the entrance of the cave and they were force to line up so a Night wing could observe them. Tsunami ended up attacking him after a comment he made and Clay also attacked the dragon.
Falling Action
Clay and Tsunami escaped the cave through the water.They did this because kessertal said that she would kill glory while she slept. Then they ran into queen Scarlet and tsunami stapped her tail pinning her to the ground and then they fled to go and save there friends. 
Resolution
After being captured by the queen Clay was forced to fight his new friend Peril.But then Clay sat on her and turned and saw glory shoot black venom at the queen which started melting her.Then clay had peril break tsunami chain. Starflight was took end by a Nighwing.
Clay and the four other dragnets escape the kingdom and are hiding out because burn is trying to find and kill them.They are also trying to figure out where Star flight was token to.
Starflight was returned by the night wing that took him.and so now the dragnet were reunited back together.
