Hello there fellow delegate. Are you attending the Convection of 1836 as well?
Why yes, I am. In fact, I was told that there will be 59 of us there.
Yes, I was told that as well. The Convection is taking place on the 1st of March at Washington-on-the-Brazos, correct?
Yes, I believe that is correct. I believe that we are going to discuss matters about Texas' freedom and independence from Mexico.
Why yes, I do believe that is right. I do hope to see you at the Convection!
As do I, goodbye!
A few weeks later . . .
Likewise, I am so very excited that we drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence during this Convection! Now Texas will finally be it's own nation, and it will all be a result of what we did today.
Why hello there, nice to see you again.
Yes, it is quite the achievement for Texas. It will be even better when we adopt the Declaration tomorrow, March 2nd. It's also a good thing that we drafted the Texas Constitution so that we have a plan for the new Republic.
Indeed, we got so much done during this Convection, and someday this event will be a part of Texas' history.
