  • Hello there fellow delegate. Are you attending the Convection of 1836 as well?
  • Why yes, I am. In fact, I was told that there will be 59 of us there.
  • Yes, I was told that as well. The Convection is taking place on the 1st of March at Washington-on-the-Brazos, correct?
  • Yes, I believe that is correct. I believe that we are going to discuss matters about Texas' freedom and independence from Mexico.
  • Why yes, I do believe that is right. I do hope to see you at the Convection!
  • As do I, goodbye!
  • A few weeks later . . .
  • Likewise, I am so very excited that we drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence during this Convection! Now Texas will finally be it's own nation, and it will all be a result of what we did today.
  • Why hello there, nice to see you again.
  • Yes, it is quite the achievement for Texas. It will be even better when we adopt the Declaration tomorrow, March 2nd. It's also a good thing that we drafted the Texas Constitution so that we have a plan for the new Republic.
  • Indeed, we got so much done during this Convection, and someday this event will be a part of Texas' history.
