  • The Ohio River Valley was an area of land between French and British territory. It was fertile and everyone wanted it. Blue uniforms represent the British and red the French.

  • George Washington is sent to build a fort and claim land in the Ohio River Valley. He conquers Fort Duquense and builds Fort Necessity.
  • Fall of Quebec
  • In the beginning of the war, The French are winning because they have the Indians on their side. The Indians know the area better.
  • Aftermath of War
  • William Pitt became the new Prime Minister of England and his main goal was to win the war in North America. He encouraged colonists to fight in the war.

  • Quebec was on top of cliffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River. The British surprise attacked at night. Most soldiers approached from the front, while the rest climbed cliffs and approached from the back.
  • The British won and New France fell. Great Britain's land holdings increased, but had great debt. The French lost all of their territory in N. America. Debt from the war was paid by taxing the British colonists.
