  • Oh how I love camping,OK so the sun is at a 45 degree angle in the sky so that means it is about 9 am.
  • I learned in school that the Egyptians came up with the idea that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
  • In 1500 BC the Egyptians made a sundial. A sundial is a plate on the ground that has numbers on it to track the hours of the day and the seasons.It uses rods to track the sun position in the day to know what time it is. The Babylonia's,Greeks, Chinese, and Mesa-Americas all used this idea.
  • The people of the Bronze Age [Canaan,Greeks,Anatolia, and Mesopotamia] all used the knowledge of the sundial to create the calendar. Scientists think this was around 3,300 to 1200 BC. The Bronze Age is when I development of copper tools and civilization.
  • Egyptians came up with the idea that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. People to this day still use this theory to tell time.But now scientists found out the angles and degrees.
