  • A girl named Tara lived in a stone tower. One day she was in her room and she heard a voice. The voice said "For once in your life, you shall listen". Tara didn't know who said this. The voice then told Tara "To bed".#160; She then quietly turned and climbed into her bed.
  • Rising Action
  • When she woke up she went to school. When she was at school she handed her homework and did her work. Between her classes she was called over by people and was told things like "So sorry-", "Jeremy", and "Any news?" But the voice tells her to "Ignore them ... Focus on your studies."
  • Climax
  • Tara spots a raven feather on her window. She tries to open the window but the voice in her head says "Leave it". Tara leaves the feather alone and goes to bed. The next morning she wakes up and goes to school. When she was eating lunch a bunch of people went over to her and asked her how she was doing. When she was done eating the voice in her head told her to go to class.
  • Resolution
  • Tara goes home and goes to bed. She wakes up to the wind. The wind was pounding the stone and pounding the glass. Something had hit Tara's window. She jumped up and looked out her window. It was a raven. The glass was shattered because the bird had hit the window. There was blood on the glass and on the feathers. Tara walked to school holding a feather. She didn't want to go home but she did. When she got home he dad told her that he wanted to protect her and just wanted to keep her safe.
  • Tara then goes to her room and remembers the missing boys name-Jeremy. She had been dating him. Tara then goes out through her window and climbs down the stone wall to see the raven that was still bleeding. When she got down she ran over to the raven and said "Jeremy." stroking the birds cold wings. The bird looked up and Tara could see the recognition in its dull eyes. A flash of searing light and the bird had gone. A boy was left there, he was naked and shivering holding his broken arm. The boys said "Tara-" and she said "Jeremy" back to him. She stroked his cheek and touched his hair.
  • Tara pulled him close to her body because he was so cold. She had feathers in her hair but the wind blew them out of her hair. She listened to the wind and talked. The only voice that she heard was her own.
