This shows that doing something you like may appear weird to others. Lastly, on page 82 Tommy yells Its the monster its a monster . After Tommy said that Charlie grabbed his gun walked towards the monster and ended up shooting the monster . They had all found out it was Pete vanhorn, and all of them yelled at Charlie. This shows that not all your friends are trustworthy. In conclusion the story porves that man kind is its own worst enemy
