Denial is the coping mechanism when an individual chooses to ignore the obvious signs that something is wrong in their life, they are afraid to admit everything wrong with this situation.

Displacement is the action of mistreating others due to the frustration of superiors. This makes the individual act out on other innocent people for the reason that they are frustrated
Compensation
Compensation is the mechanism when and individual decides to focus more on what they excel at rather than working on their faults
