  • Being a lawyer would suit my areas of intelligence for multiple reasons, one being that a lawyer will sometimes need to get the jury on their side, which may require manipulation of evidence. This relates to interpersonal intelligence in order to get the jury on your side, you will need to know the right things to say, or in some cases how to create a trap for the other lawyer to get stuck in. Being a lawyer would also benefit greatly from good interpersonal intelligence skills because lawyers need to work and cooperate with clients frequently, which would be very hard to do efficiently without good interpersonal skills. However, I’m not sure if I would consider being a lawyer, because I’m not very good at thinking quickly in response to what someone else says during a serious situation.

  • Being a teacher would be suitable for my areas of intelligence because being a teacher requires strong interpersonal intelligence. This is true because teachers, especially teachers of lower grades, need to interact with a lot of people who may act unpredictably, which can cause a lot of people to get frustrated. However, a teacher who has strong interpersonal skills will have more patience, and they may be able to work with them to get them calmed down and back on track. Also, a teacher who has strong interpersonal skills will most likely be better at teaching, because string interpersonal skills comes with better communication. I could definitely see myself pursuing being a teacher, because I think I can handle sporadic children well.

  • Auto-mechanic
  • Another career that fits my areas of intelligence is being an auto-mechanic. Auto-mechanics rely mostly on kinesthetic intelligence, because auto-mechanics are constantly doing hands-on work. Auto-mechanics also use precision in order to extract and replace parts, some of which could be small like a wheel-weight. I see this as a possible job to pursue, because I think I have good hand-eye coordination, as well as precision.
  • The main job of a criminologist is to analyze crimes that have happened, in order to identify any motives behind the crime and to connect the crime to trends. This requires interpersonal intelligence because a criminologist must have a confident analysis of how the criminal thinks. This would clearly be easier to do if you have a strength in understanding how people think and identifying the motive behind what they do. Although it isn't up there for my top choices, I think there is a possibility that I could pursue being a criminologist, as the career generally fits what I think I am good at, and it seems enjoyable as well. However, I am not currently planning on pursuing this career path because the average yearly salary of a criminologist in Canada is below the average salary.
  • Criminologist
  • To conclude, my top three strongest areas of intelligence are: interpersonal, intrapersonal, and kinesthetic intelligence. With these areas of intelligence, I have determined that I could take up being a therapist, lawyer, teacher, auto-mechanic, or a criminologist. Although I don’t have interest in some of these career paths, I now know that I would be most suitable at a job which uses working with others, or working in a more physical sense.
