Both Ashley and Cassie came up with a plan they agreed on. They told their parents that they were going to be gone for the day to go on a day trip to Duluth. They hoped they would be able to pull this off successfully.
Ashley, we should do something adrenalin rushing. Life has been boring recently. We should do something thrilling.
I agree, maybe we can do something like go on a road trip? Or maybe we can sky dive if we can find a cheap enough place.
I think I have an idea...
Later that night Ashley and Cassie searched through Google Flights to see if there was a cheap flights to go on a day trip. They found one to New York City the day after New Years. They knew their parents would say no, but were determined to pull this off.

Me and Ashley wanted to go on a day trip up to Duluth during winter break after New Years. She would pick me up early in the morning and we would be home for dinner. Is that okay with you guys?
After both families agreeing that it was okay Ashley and Cassie knew that they had to book the flights and plan for the day trip, figuring out the airport, navigating trains and managing time.
I'm getting nervous, a lot could go wrong and we could get caught. What if we get stuck there and miss our flight? Or what if we get lost, the city is HUGE!
I'm nervous too, do you think this is still a good idea? Our flight is already booked though and I don't want to lose our money, plus whatever happens will make a good story.
