So you can say that a rock is an Extrusive one when a magma cools off above the earths surface and you can say that it is an Intrusive rock when the magma cools off and solidify inside the earths crust.

Weathering
So what is happening here? besides of being sick.
As a human this is just a heavy rain but for Igneous rocks this is the reason why they're breaking into small pieces of rocks.
Sediment
Where are this small rocks coming from?
Sediments is the result of the processes of weathering and erosion, and subsequently transported by wind, water, and etc.
Compaction
So this is the part where a sediment constantly loses its porosity because of the effects of pressure from a pile up.
