- This scene is explaining how Jesus is giving out his body and blood in a form of wine and bread at The Last Supper.

- Jesus is being stripped of his clothing. They put a purple cloak on him. They are doing this to mock him.

- Jesus is being made fun of. They made a crown of thorny branches and placed it on His head while, putting a stick through his hand also.
- While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to His disciple. "Take and eat it", He said, "This is my body". Matthew 26:26

- Pilate delivers Jesus to be crucified to please the crowd.
- Then one of the twelve disciples, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and asked, "What will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?" They counted out 30 silver coins and gave them to him. Matthew 26: 14-15

- They they made a crown out of thorny branches and placed it on his head and put a stick in His right hand; then they knelt before Him and made fun of Him. "Long live the King of the Jews!" they said.

- So Pilate wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scrouged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
- So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to The Place of Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha.
