  • This key event was when the Romans were celebrating and rejoicing Caesars win against Pompey in the streets of Rome. This is when Caesar was promoted as the most powerful man in the Republic. This is important because Caesar is being admired by everyone and Cassius doesn't want this.

  • This key event was when the soothsayer tells Caesar to "Beware the Ides of March." This means 15th of march which he refers to as the day Caesar will die. Caesar tells the Soothsayer to step outside of the crowd and show himself. Brutus tells Caesar this is the soothsayer. Once Caesar sees his poor look he ignores him. This is important because it was a foreshadow that was given but ignored by Caesar.

  • This key event is when Caesar's wife Calpurnia is dream of Caesars death. This is important because this shows or gives hint to what is about to happen in the future like a foreshadow.

  • This key event is when Portia cuts herself telling Brutus that she feels left out and he is hiding things from her that she doesn't like. She said she is scared for him and wants to know everything he has planning. This is important because Brutus can't let his secret plan out and he has to trust his wife who is having a breakdown.
  • This key event is when Calpurnia tells Caesar about her dream and tells him not to leave the house. She is scared that her dreams will come true and Caesar will die. Caesar refuse her to not be scared of death. This is important because this shows the courage of Caesar and the caring his wife is.
  • This key event is when Artemidorus enters a street near the Capitol reading from a paper that warns Caesar of danger and that names each of the conspirators. He intends to give the letter to Caesar and he reasons that Caesar may survive if the fates do not ally themselves with the conspirators. This is important because if Caesar finds out what they are planning he will catch them and get them killed.
