Siužetinės Linijos Aprašymas
This storyboard demonstrates the example of Actus Reus and Mens Rea, more specifically willfulness blindness. A stranger who remains hidden in the back alley has recently stolen some goods from a retail store and is looking to sell these products as quickly as possible, which then a high schooler who has recently broken his phone just happens to pass by him, so he purchased a stolen phone. Both people had committed a crime. Actus Reus was established because the suspicious person had stolen goods and the high schooler purchased the stolen goods. Mens Reus or willfulness blindness is also present as the high schooler purchased the item knowing the possibility of illegality, but chooses not to ask questions or investigate the situation because the result would benefit him either way if he did not get caught. The person selling the products would be charged under Section 322 (1), 344 (1), and Section 348(1) of the Criminal code for breaking/entering with the intent of committing an offence and as well as possessing stolen good from the robbery that was initiated. The high schooler who purchased the stolen products would be charged under Section 354 (1) of the Criminal Code for possessing a property obtained by crime.
