  • The Aztec and Inca both used weapons like shields, arrows, spears and hammers. This is what they've always done and what has always been a success. But the shields were made of wood and their armor was made of cotton. 
  • Meanwhile, the Spanish had swords which were made from obsidian and sharpened like glass. As well as armor made from the same material and other metals. They also trained all the time so the soldiers would always be prepared
  • The Spanish also had horses and the natives had never seen them before. They often thought when they saw a Spanish man riding one, they'd think it's one whole being
  • The Spanish's tactical fighting and access to good weaponry, gave them the ability to wipe out Aztec and Inca groups within minutes. This is why the Spanish was able to conquer the 2 groups
