In Athens, Duke Theseus is to be married to Hyppolyta, the queen of Amazons. At the preparation of the wedding, two young men named Demetrius and Lysander met a young daughter of a nobleman named Hermia. Her father (Egeus) wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius but it is  Lysander that she loves. Theseus proposes Hermia to accept his father's of groom, or to be put to death or become a nun.
Climax
Hermia and Lysander escaped from Athens but mistakenly told Helena (who is inlove with Demetrius) with their plan. She in turns told Demetrius about it in hopes to win some favor in his eyes. Then, they all ended up running into the woods after one another.
Falling Action
As they are in the woods, a fairy named Robin Goodfellow tried to solve the love triangle between Hermia, Lysander, and Demetrius. He accidentally made Lysander to fall in love with Helena by putting a flower's juice in his eyes. Then trying to fix what the fairy has wrongly done, he made Demetrius fall for Helena too. Now everyone helplessly love Helena and no one loves Hermia.
Denoument
With all the fighting of the two mean over Helena and Hermia being mad at Helena, Robin (puck) managed to separate all of them to avoid further destructions. He made them all fall asleep and reversed the spell and make right of his wrong.
The lovers are woken by Theseus and Hippolyta's hunting party. Lysander sees Hermia and falls in love with her once again. After hearing what had happened he was then confused but still invited the two couple to get married during his ceremony.
Finally, everyone got married. The play "Pyramus and Thisbe" is performed. Then the play ended with Puck (Robin) asking the audience to remember all that had happened as if it were a dream.
