- Left LegTris had a weakness of her family. When she was in her fear simulation, she could never bring herself to shoot them to go to the next stage. She was always ready to fight, but hesitated when it came to family. Tris eventually finds a solution for this.
- Head HeartTris makes sure that whenever she makes decisions, she keeps Four (Tobias) in mind. She cares about him and his thoughts about her. Tris tries to get closer to him and understand his past and thoughts. She would do anything to protect him. They work together as a team to save the factions.
- ArmsAt the end of the book, Tris embraces and accepts that she is Divergent. She uses her immunity from the serums to fight back and use it to her advantage. Tris had no idea what would happen to her if someone discovered that she was Divergent. At the end, she didn't care and used her strength to save the people she loved.
- EyesWhen Tris is in training to become Dauntless, she witnesses her friends getting hurt. When she woke up one morning, she found Edward on the ground, due to Peter stabbing him in the eye. Tris delt with seeing friends hurt each other, and her family. She watched her parents die, but she was strong and continued fighting. She knew that was her only option.
- HandsWhen Tris first joined Dauntless, she was the first person to jump off the building without knowing what was below it. This kind of bravery continues throughout the book. She takes up new challenges and stands up for her friends and takes the risks for them. This leads her to be ranked #1 in her training.
