  • The French and Indian War was a war against British and French in the 1700s. It was a fight for control over America. England won in the end.
  • Boston Tea Party (1773 )
  • England had lost a lot of money in the war. King George 3 wanted to earn the money back by increasing taxes.
  • Declaration of Independence (1776)
  • The Stamp Act was a taxation for books, newspapers, stamps, etc. The colonist thought that the tax was unfair and stopped buying British goods. The Stamp Act was removed in 1766.
  • Revolutionary War (1775 - 1783)
  • The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773. The Sons of Liberty dressed like Natives and boarded a ship carrying tea. The Sons of Liberty threw 342 crates into the harbor.
