- Hera asked Aphrodite to send Eros to make Medea fall in love with Jason. Jason promised himself to Medea, and Medea told Jason that she would betray her father to save him.
- Medea made a magic salve that would make Jason immune to iron and fire. Medea took Jason to the garden of her father, where the Golden Fleece was. Medea made the dragon guarding the Fleece fall asleep, and so Medea and Jason took the Fleece.
- Medea and Jason tried to sail away after they had stolen the Golden Fleece, but King Aeëtes' ship soon caught up with them. Her brother was captain of the ship, and so Medea got off on an island and killed her brother. They sailed past Sirens, Scylla, and Charybdis
- Medea and Jason had to go to the sorceress Circe to be purified of their sin (killing Medea's brother).
- King Pelias wanted to kill Jason when they arrived, and so Medea tricked the king's daughters into killing him with a potion which she promised would make him young again. The potion was really just a boiling cauldron.
- The gods got mad at Medea for tricking innocent daughters into killing their father, and so they turned Medea into an evil witch. Jason could not be king if he was married to Medea, and so he lost love for her and decided to marry a different princess. Medea disappeared riding a chariot drawn by two dragons.
