  • Adler's Theory is the idea that birth order affects siblings influences and feelings of inferiority. The image shown the child on the left is the last born and the child on the right is the first born. First born child is a rule follower with high expectations. The last born child is funny and absentminded sometimes.

  • Freud's Theory is the idea that people are persuaded by thoughts in their mind that are divided into superego, ego, and id. Superego is the part of a person's mind that shifts towards reflective and good thoughts that are morally thought out. Id is the part of the mind that is driven by wants and needs due to impulses that makes a person do the opposite of superego. And ego is the in between that balance out the thoughts of superego and id.

  • Eysenck believed that human behavior is determined by a series of traits and attributes. People are born with personality traits and those traits are influenced by our genetics. In the image above the mother yells at her son by relating the fathers personality traits to him. The cause of this according to Eysenck would be the connection between the father and sons genetics which carries over personality traits to the son.

  • Rogers believed that people with healthy and encouraging environments to grow up in, it would allow them to grow as an individual. In order for a person to grow they need an environment that provides them with acceptance and empathy. In the image the child has a close bond with his father which gives him a good environment to grow up in and allows him to blossom as an individual.
  • Bandura proposed people can learn by overserving other people. This can be done through observational learning which is learning through observing one's actions. In the image above it shows a child copying his angry father who is screaming at the tv. This provides an example of observational learning because the child is learning to behave angry at the tv because of watching his father.
  • Horney believed we feel most helpless, anxious and lost around the issue of getting enough love. We build our personalities around fighting rejection. Therefore, if a child feels unsafe or not loved while growing up they can develop basic anxiety and repress hostility towards their parents. In the image shown the son is showing hostility towards his mother after a day of school which can be due to anxiety.
