  • Yes, and I get there sooner then you think. I'll run you a race and prove it.
  • You stupid tortoise, you are so slow. Do you even get anywhere?
  • Ha! A race? you should watch out! I'm winning! Fox! you must be the judge!
  • Ready.. Set.. GO!
  • One day, a hare was making fun of a tortoise. So the tortoise offered a race to prove that he can get to places fast.
  • The Hare was much amused at the idea of running a race with the Tortoise, so he agreed. The Fox, who had consented to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners off.
  • Soon the hare was out of sight. As for the tortoise, he was going slow and steady.
  • The hare runs the fastest he can, heading for the finish line. He knew he would win, compared to the slow tortoise.
  • The hare decided to sleep, for the tortoise would take too long.
  • The tortoise got really close to the finish line. The Hare now ran his swiftest, but he could not overtake the Tortoise in time.
