The Stamford battle

It is early morning...Hardrada's men are sleeping and are woken suddenly at the arrival of King Harold Godwinson's army.
The battle starts badly for Hardrada's men.Some have left their armour several miles away.
Hardrada's men seem to be gaining control of the battle.One brave Viking blocks the only bridge and kills 40 Englishmen with an axe.
With no way over the bridge,Hardrada's men are protected by the river and king Harold's men are at a standstill.
After an hour ,King Harold's men try to stop the warrior guarding the bridge by floting underneath it and stabbing him from below.
The Viking guarding the bridge is killed and the English Army rush to cross the bridge noticing that some Vikingshave forgotten their armour.
