- After Paul Fisher and his family moved to Tangerine Florida, Paul and his mother found out that close by their house, there was a muck fire. Paul's mother was not very happy when she found out about this, but was glad that the fire man Wayne let her know about this information.
- Mrs. Fisher and Paul to to Paul's new school to look around and see it, but instead, Mrs. Fisher also tells Mrs. Gates that Paul is blind and has a hard time seeing things. Paul gets mad and upset about what his mom said because he says that he can see just fine.
- While at football practice, Mike Costello got struck by lighting and was killed by it. When he got struck by lightning he was standing by the goal post and he went flying a couple feet in the air with the whole left side of his hair signed off.
