- Don't join a gang that does gang fights, because you can get messed up.
- Don't get in a lot of fights or you'll lose the one you love, because the more fights you get in the more you on't feel for the other person.
- Rusty-James doesn't care about getting hurt. He says it's nothing and he has gotten worse when he gets cut
- Steven is more worried about Rusty-James. He tries to convince him to go to the hospital
- It was an okay book. I wish it had more story with what happened after Rusty got arrested
