Today we'll be learning the difference between Benign and Malignant Tumors!
In a Benign Tumor, cells remain clustered together. They do not metastasize (spread), and most of these tumors are non-cancerous.
In a Malignant Tumor, cells usually spread wider distances. They can go all the way to tissues and to the bloodstream. They metastasize almost uncontrollably, and they are cancerous.
When detected,Benign Tumors can be removed. As for Malignant Tumors, most of the cases where one is detected it hasn't completely spread yet.
Cells in Benign Tumors are like all our normal cells.
Cells in Malignant Tumors have an abnormal shape and a nuclear larger and darker than that of a normal cell.
