The origin of fire (1)

Storyboard Tekst

  • Years and years ago, when animals could speak, a clever fox tried to think of how he could bring fire into the world. He visited the geese who told him they would teach him how to fly. They managed to do this but told Fox not to look down.
  • However, when they flew over the fireflies' village, the glow distracted Fox, and he looked down. He fell into the middle of the village and discovered that there was a fire.
  • Two fireflies saw Fox and helped him. Fox tried to convince them to tell him how he could leave the village. They showed him a tree that, at his command, would throw him over the wall.
  • Fox suggested that they have a festival where they could sing and dance. The fireflies agreed and helped make a large fire. Fox secretly tied a piece of wood to his tail and then created a drum. He made music for the fireflies while moving closer to the fire.
  • Fox pretended to be tired and gave the drum to the fireflies, leaving the party. He sneakily stuck his piece of wood into the fire and ran to the wall. He told the tree to throw him over the wall. Then fox ran off, with the fireflies in quick pursuit.
  • Fox handed the burning wood to Hawk who flew away, spreading sparks across the world. The fireflies chased Fox and told him that while the rest of the world would have fire, he would never be able to use it.
