I hope everybody had a good break, now that we are back, we are going to shift focus and talk about what an optimal functioning government looks like for our society. To establish an effective government, we must first recognize that kings should receive their sovereignty from the will of the people, rather than divine right. Divine right is a fallacy our society has long believed in which only provides an excuse for arbitrary, tyrannic leaders to stay in rule.
To further elaborate on what an effective, rightful government should like in society I have invited my old friend Professor John Locke to help.Let me ask you John, what do you think about kings gaining power through the will of the people vs through divine right.
Thank you Professor Rousseau. Well, I actually have a term for that I like to call "popular soverignty." Popular soverignty allows for the people to promote their interests. Oh- and divine right... that stuff is completely BS.
